History
According to an online site found about the Cressler Creek Log Cabin:
Nearby are two historic dugouts with mystery waiting to be uncovered. One is a homesteader and the other build to shelter for a wounded Civil War soldier for the winter. Many who stay at the lodge have reported unexplainable phenomenons. Close by is the famed “Penokee Man” so named by an unusual configuration of stones in the shape of a man on a hill called Indian Mountain. No one knows how long they’ve been there, who put them there, or, most intriguingly why.
According to their Facebook page:
Located in Sheridan County Kansas, near Hoxie, Kansas, is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom fully furnished log cabin for you to rent and stay in while you hunt in the area. The property is secluded, rural, and so quiet and relaxing you just may not want to leave. Camper hook ups available if you are traveling through and horse boarding can be arranged.
Investigation
The investigation by the CKPS is scheduled for February 24, 2018.
